Application The questionnaire helps an adviser by showing which interests a candidate has, in order to advise on study and career choice. Study and Career Interests is specifically aimed at the context of study choice for hbo and wo programmes. This questionnaire is primarily intended for study choice, but can also be useful for career choice.
Development Study and Career Interests was developed to map interest in studies and related sectors. The items were created by asking students from various study programmes in higher professional education (HBO) and university education (WO) what they find interesting about their study. This produced a large number of interest statements. After various analyses, a questionnaire emerged that inventories interest areas in the language of students.
